The inevitable invasion against the child-stealing UTC has been delayed

The 18th, 25th, 30th, 50th, 62nd, and 68th Legions were garrisoned in the Lwazi Peninsula, ready to storm into Erdashu on a punative campaign in response to the High Coven awarding more seats to the demonic Sararit Coven. 600,000 peldak troops is a nightmare scenario for any petty statelet in the galaxy, capable of overwhelming any foe. But trouble started brewing on the other side of the planet and it demanded our attention.

Relgan’s new crisis is a regional alliance on the eastern continent, Apea. They recently suffered uprisings by the local firryan populations. The uprisings were crushed relatively quickly, and the nations are claiming that they’re adopting a caste system similar to Great Tendor’s, but really it’s just the return of slavery. The military alliance is intended to prevent us from intervening.

Our legions are invincible and can destroy any foe, but the last 60 years has seen so many things to deal with that we can’t focus on eliminating any for good, so they fester and grow into persistent, dug-in problems. Relgan’s Sararit Coven, Ciratha’s Black Fleet, Monsoo’s Dawn Mercenaries, they’ve been problems for years but we can’t find the time or resources to put them down. This era has been about mitigation.

Apea’s northern states make the mistake of reintroducing slavery, which the Peldak Constitution requires us to prioritize at the expense of other issues. Because we lack the troops to annex a vast region of at least 300 million people, the plan for this punitive campaign is to destroy their field armies and let the firryans fight them. If the civil wars last decades, all the better.
