The Third D’Sev War may have ended in victory, but we didn’t forget that the United Chaccarn States are a slave empire that have only survived this long because the Imperium’s navy prevented us from properly invading. Now that the D’Sev are gone, three legions are being sent to Foregone to finish the job. One legion per UCS continent.
These legions are the 18th – temporarily removed from Great Tendor – the 29th – a reserve legion stationed on Peldor – and the 34th – temporarily removed from Pelratha.
Foregone’s two native legions, the 22nd and 23rd, will continue their garrison and infrastructure duties on their respective continents.
Upon landing, our legions are under orders to negotiate with the local tribes. If they agree to the necessary reforms and end the enslavement of their cousins, the war will be prevented. The three hetmen are authorized to make concessions and payment in exchange for compliance.
Should they reject our offer, the legions are ordered to capture the ports, occupy the interior, free the slaves, and prevent the UCS from expanding. At that point we can either pursue annexation or reform their society as we desire.
The legions are on-route to the planet and transportation is being prepared, though we’re having difficulties finding enough skilled interpreters. The soldiers of the 22nd and 23rd legions are skilled in Red-Ardennes – the offshoot from the relgi nation, Ardennes, who set up Foregone City 1,100 years ago – and Hetman Veronika Antol knows four local nomadic languages. But none of these soldiers are fluent in the languages spoken across the seas as Antol’s Red Fortress doctrine was based around defense, not offense.
There might be hundreds of languages to deal with so we’re expecting delays in the campaign. Ideally, this gives the UCS more time to consider surrender.
