The revolts and uprisings that have gripped Great Tendor these past 11 months have finally been crushed, and the population pacified.
Starting nearly half a year ago with the 18th legion’s removal of a corrupt noble (which the Lord Protectorate and Senate have affirmed as a lawful expression of a hetman’s authority), the Emperor of Great Tendor declined to lead his people in a war of independence and sovereignty against the Protectorate. Thinking him weak for failing to uphold the laws of their ancient caste system, hundreds of high caste nobles from across thousands of towns and settlements took up arms. Some wanted to negotiate better feudal contracts, others sought a return to tendori multipolarity, and other nobles of the highest caste wanted to replace him as emperor.
The emperor’s royal guard, and peldak forces from the 16th, 17th, and 18th legions, promptly moved against this rival power bloc. 300,000 peldak warriors and a number of tendori allies against a total of some 5,000,000 rebel forces. These forces were scattered, uncoordinated, undisciplined, and we suspect that a majority were low caste conscripts who weren’t even allowed to own a blade before hostilities started. Rather than a unified army of 5,000,000, it was more like 50 armies of 100,000, which isn’t a threat.
With each of his rebellious subjects systematically defeated and replaced with high caste loyalists, the tendori emperor’s position is now stronger than ever.
The kotlis convention which was the inciting incident of this civil war may return to Tendor, but it’s unlikely given how the convention is already beloved across Monsoo.
