Hetman Veronika Antol and the 22nd Legion have officially completed their 19-year punishment as of today and are free to return to their duties.

For nearly two decades the soldiers have fortified the eastern coast of Enpryys in what Hetman Antol is calling the Red Fortress Doctrine. The strategy calls for the allied regions of Foregone, Enpryys and Bordeaux, being resource self-sufficient, and each capable of supplying a legion on their own due to the certainty of an imperial blockade. 100,000 combat troops and 50,000 logistics personnel. Most legions will be preoccupied on other warfronts so the 22nd and 23rd Legions are all that will be on Foregone.

Bordeaux has Foregone City and more than enough farmland and ranches to accommodate the troops.

Enpryys has a dozen fortified port towns and several thousand colonists from Foregone City and Peldor. The 22nd Legion has been busy building irrigation tunnels, farmland, and transporting livestock from Bordeaux.

The firryans will provide food, the peldaks will provide security. The only thing the firryans can’t provide is more ammunition, so the legions have stockpiled hundreds of warehouses of bullets and have received training in archery.

The legions will not be sailing out to defeat the United Chaccarn States, they will operate in a purely defensive role. Once the D’Sev Holy Imperium is vanquished elsewhere, reinforcements will open up to secure Foregone, or the UCS’s conquest can be delayed until the Protectorate is in a better position.

This plan aroused some ire from the soldiers as the UCS is a slave-dealing nation that must be destroyed. Veronika Antol, an elf older than the city of Pelda itself, responded in typical berserker fashion by beating all her critics into submission at once.

Assuming nobody strong enough challenges her, this will be their plan for the coming war.
