United Chaccarn States Launch Imperialist Expansion

19/02/125 ASU

10 years before the start of the next war and the D’Sev Holy Imperium’s firryan proxy, the United Chaccarn States, has launched an ambitious war against their own nomadic cousins.

The capitols of the 63 Chaccarn States are the trade ports built by the D’Sev decades ago. Their controlled territories are strips along the coast and the regular migration patterns by tribes which have increasingly been setting down roots. But the UCS has three entire continents free to conquer, with a possible integration pool of more than 200 million firryan nomads.

They’ve started the process today.

From each of their capitols a regiment of 3,000 professional firryan soldiers are marching into their continental interiors to claim land, defeat the local nomadic tribes, and settle.

These nomads have spent nearly a century not having to fear the long reach of Foregone City’s slaver teams, even if they don’t know why the raids stopped. Reports say that the population has exploded, and the tribes have been growing more competitive, warring with each other, forming alliances, political marriages, it’s the standard fare elves have seen for millennia.

With only 3,000 soldiers per state, it’s doubtful how far the UCS can expand in their respective zones. They simply don’t have the population, expertise, or economic base to continually annex large swaths of territory. This is likely the first step of a multi-generational process, similar to the early conquests of Pelda 3,000 years ago.

The UCS will want periods of expansion followed by consolidation and integration of the conquered peoples. The firryans in the UCS are only 30 years removed from their own integration into the D’Sev Imperium, so it’s unlikely that any significant integration can take place before the upcoming war.

We need to defeat the UCS early and prevent them from snowballing.
