The Tendori Princes went insane after the death of their emperor and, with the accumulated wealth from over a century of Protectorate-secured peace, threw men and materials at each other to secure their position at the top.

The three legions stopped pussyfooting around and got serious about ending the war once the death toll reached three million, Protectorate Charter be damned. The Lord Protector, backing his warriors, declared that such a devastating civil war, and the lack of Imperial authority, effectively marked the end of Great Tendor as a state, therefore voiding any obligation to respect their succession process.

We took a provincial noble in the north, a young man married to the old Emperor’s youngest daughter and selected him to be the new emperor. The last two years were spent putting down everyone who disagreed.

The New Emperor of Great Tendor, Chandrama of the Gaur Dynasty, quickly signed a new Charter upon his ascension to the thrown. In it we swear to protect his dynasty and the territory of his empire, but there are provisions which stipulate that the Lord Protector will crown the new ruler in the event of a new succession crisis. This caused quite a stir in the new Tendori Council, however the nobles can cry all they want. They’re powerless to stop us.

We won’t let them kill another five million people in their petty succession squabble.

Emperor Chandrama has agreed to bring the defeated warlords to court for their conduct during the war.

We need the princes to understand that, if in a century or two the Gaur Dynasty falls, taking up arms will not be a viable route to the throne. As high castes they’re used to a level of amnesty for their crimes, but they will learn the consequences of their actions.
